- 1.Requirements on Citizenship
- 1.1 Non-Chinese citizens with an ordinary foreign passport.
- 1.2 Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship (including residents in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and become foreign citizens must provide the documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese citizenship and household registration.
- 1.3 If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant.
- Note: If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the exit-entry administration of Chinese public security organs after application, admission or enrollment, their application eligibility, admission offer, enrollment qualification, or student status shall be revoked.
- 2.General Requirements
- 2.1Under the age of 40 (Age limit is flexible for healthy applicants with working experience and high academic ability). Applicants must be Master’s degree holders. (Those who provide pre-graduation certificate or student status certificate at application MUST provide Master’s degree diploma no later than registration.)
- 2.2 With proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental disease that may affect the normal study.
- 3.Language Proficiency Requirements:
- For Programs taught in Chinese International applicants who apply for Chinese-taught graduate programs must provide certificates to prove their Chinese language proficiency meets the minimum requirements for admission,which are listed as below:
- 3.1 Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK): Applicants for Chinese-taught programs shall have HSK certificate of level 5 (180 points) or above. The certificate should be within its validity period.
- 3.2 Certificate of Instruction in Chinese: Applicants who have earned a degree from accredited college or university whose language of instruction was Chinese, must provide Certificate of Instruction in Chinese issued by previous institution. Applicants who provide this document are exempt from providing HSK Certificate.
- 3.3 Certificate of Instruction in Chinese in Secondary Education: Applicants who have completed secondary education in middle and senior high schools whose language of instruction was Chinese, must provide Certificate of Instruction in Chinese issued by schools. Applicants who provide these documents are exempt from providing HSK Certificate.
