- - Master’s degree applicants must be under 35 years old (Date of Birth must be after August 31, 1988).
- - Doctoral degree applicants must be under 40 years old (Date of Birth must be after August 31, 1983).
- Applicants for a Master’s degree must possess a degree equivalent to or above a Bachelor’s degree from a Chinese university.
- - Applicants for a Doctoral degree must possess a degree equivalent to or above a Master’s degree from a Chinese university.
- Language proficiency requirements for Chinese-taught programs are as follows:
- - For Chinese-taught Ph.D. programs:
- - School of International Chinese Language Education: a minimum of 240 points in HSK 6 and 65 points in HSKK Advanced level.
- - School of Chinese Language and Literature: a minimum of 210 points in HSK 5.
- - Other Departments: a minimum of 195 points in HSK 5.
