Core Curriculum
- 1) High school qualification or above, with an age between 18 to 35.
- Applicants who are under 18 years old as of September 1, 2026 must submit a Guardian’s Guarantee Letter (download link below).
- The guardian must be an adult living in China with a stable source of income.
- 2) Non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passport, with good mental and physical health conditions, and with reliable guardian for economic guarantee.
- 3) Following students should meet the conditions set by the Document No.12 (2020) of the Ministry of PRC.
- Students emigrate from Mainland of China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and obtain the foreign nationality.
- Students, whose parents (either or both) hold Chinese nationality and reside abroad, acquire foreign nationality at the time of birth.
- 4) Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) tests for Chinese and Mathematics.
- Applicants for the Chinese Language major are exempt from the Chinese subject test.
- When applying to our university, applicants must submit their CSCA test results.
- 5) If you studied or lived in China before, you should not have any record of violation of laws or disciplines.
- 6) Admission Requirements and Entrance Examinations.
- 1) Majors at Hongkou Campus (NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION)
- A. Chinese Language, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (Chinese): Applicants must have Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 180). Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language for one semester in any Chinese university with New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 195) can apply to study from the second semester of the first academic year. Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language program for one academic year in any Chinese university with New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 180) can apply to study from the second academic year. Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language for two academic years in any Chinese university with Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 210) can apply to study from the third academic year.
- B. International Economics and Trade (Chinese): ①Applicants must have Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 180). ②Students who study undergraduate program related to economics and trade for one semester in any Chinese university with New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 180) can apply to study from the second semester of the first academic year. Students who study undergraduate program related to economics and trade for one academic year in any Chinese university with New HSK level 6 (a total of no less than 180) can apply to study from the second academic year.
- ★Applicants who want to start from the second semester of the first academic year, the second or the third academic year, need to pass the entrance examination. Entrance examination will be held on January 20, 2026 for students who want to start from the second semester of the first academic year. Entrance examination will be held on July 14, 2026 for students who want to start from second and third academic year. The entrance examination will be held online at 2 p.m. Beijing time. Detailed information about the entrance examination will be sent by email. Those who pass the entrance exam and with good grades from the previous university can be enrolled in the corresponding grade to study..
