About
Anhui Normal University traces its origins to Provincial Anhui University, founded in Anqing in 1928, which makes it the oldest institution of higher education in Anhui province. The school relocated to Wuhu in December 1949 and, after several reorganisations, was formally given its present name in 1972 with State Council approval.
