Baoji University of Arts and Sciences is a provincial public undergraduate university in Baoji, in the western part of Shaanxi Province. Its history begins in 1958 with the founding of Baoji University, which closed in 1963; teaching resumed in 1975 as a branch of Shaanxi Normal University, and the institution became independent in 1978 under the name Baoji Normal College.
