  • You must be a non-Chinese citizen (applicants of Chinese origin must meet Ministry of Education document Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12), aged 18–25, in good health, with a high-school diploma recognised by the Chinese government. You need HSK 4 with 180 or above and a CSCA (China Scholastic Competency Assessment) score report: all majors take Professional Chinese and Mathematics, and science, engineering and agriculture majors also take Physics or Chemistry. Applicants to International Chinese Education or Chinese Language and Literature who submit HSK 4 (180+) may skip the CSCA humanities Chinese test. The university reviews every application and may hold an interview or written test.
