- 1. Basic Requirements
- (1) Non-Chinese citizens who are in good health, hold a valid foreign passport, have obtained a high school diploma, and are willing to comply with the Chinese laws and regulations of CSU.
- (2) Aged between 18-25 (born before May 30, 2008). Applicants who are under the age of 18(above 16) need an eligible guardian living in China. The eligible guardian should have worked in China for a long time.
- (3) Language requirements: students who apply for majors in science and engineering should obtain a minimum score of 260 in HSK4.
- for medical and other majors of arts, a minimum score of 200 in HSK5. Applicants who were taught in Chinese language in previous degree education are exempt from proving language proficiency.
- (4) The Mandatory Assessment Subjects are detailed in 2026 Chinese-taught Undergraduate Programs in CSU.xlsx.

- ① Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must take the Chinese version of the CSCA test.
- ② Applicants for the Chinese Language and Literature program who have already achieved an HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above are exempt from the test in Chinese for Humanities..
