General Medicine(Professional Degree)-First Clinical Medicine College is a PhD program offered at Chongqing Medical University for international students.

- Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the People's Republic of China.
- Applicants must hold a valid passport or citizenship certificate from their home country for more than four years (inclusive).
- Applicants must have a record of actual residence outside of China for more than two years within the recent four-year period (before April 30 of the year of admission). Note that actual residence outside of China for more than nine months in a year may be counted as one year, based on the dates of the entry and exit stamps in the passport.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, have no record of bad behavior, and abide by China's laws.
- For academic degree programme applicants:
- Generally, applicants for doctoral degree programmes must be under the age of 40 and in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants must have sufficient financial resources to support their studies and living expenses in China.
- Applicants must have graduated from an accredited college or university in their home country with a good academic record. Applicants who have graduated from Chinese universities must have an excellent academic record, with preference given to those who have received scholarships from the Chinese government at the national, provincial, or municipal level.
- Applicants must provide letters of recommendation from at least two scholars who hold the title of associate professor or higher.
- Applicants must be in good academic standing and provide relevant certificates of good performance from their previous institution, as well as a non-criminal record.
- Applicants for doctoral degrees must hold a Master's degree.
- Language proficiency requirements: For Chinese-taught programmes, applicants must have a Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 5 or above.
- For professional degree programme applicants:
- In addition to the requirements for academic degree programmes, applicants for professional degree programmes must have a Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 6 or above.
