- Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, friendly to China, have no criminal record, and be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid regular foreign passport. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree awarded by an institution accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
- Language Proficiency Requirements

- Applicants whose native language is English are exempt from providing English language proficiency certificates, Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English language proficiency with the results of IELTS (6.0 orabove), TOEFL (80 points or above, SDU's DI code: C296), MyBest Scores (80 points or above), Essentials test (8 points orabove), or other equivalent English language proficiency certificates. Applicants whose native language is not English but have received their highest level of education taught in English are exempt from providing IELTS/TOEFL certificates and other proof of English proficiency, but must submit proof of the language of instruction.
- Note: The exit and entry administration authority of the Chinese public security organ will determine whether the applicant has Chinese nationality in addition to foreign nationality based on the results of the nationality determination. If it is determined that the applicant holds Chinese nationality after application, admission, or enrollment, the application, admission, or study qualification will be annulled.
