  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, both mentally and physically, and must adhere to Chinese laws as well as the regulations of Beijing Institute of Technology.
  • Applicants must hold an academically excellent master’s degree or its equivalent and be under the age of 40 at the time of application for a Ph.D. program.
  • For English-taught programs, applicants are required to have a minimum score of 85 in the TOEFL, an overall band score of 6.0 in the IELTS, or a score of 110 in the Duolingo English Test. Alternatively, other language certificates recognized by Beijing Institute of Technology may be submitted (native English speakers are exempt).
