The Dance Studies program focuses on the scientific aspects of dance, exploring the intersection of art and science. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of dance physiology, psychology, and pedagogy, preparing them for diverse careers in dance education and research.

- For Dance Performance (including concentrations in Chinese Classical Dance, Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance, Ballet, Modern Dance, and Ballroom Dance), applicants must hold a secondary school diploma or equivalent and a certificate of new HSK Level 4.
- For Choreography, Dance Studies, Drama Film and Television Art Design, and Art Management, applicants must hold a secondary school diploma or equivalent and a certificate of new HSK Level 5.
- Candidates must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports. They must demonstrate good behavior, abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have no criminal record.
- The applicant's health conditions must meet the requirements set by BDA, and applicants should be under the age of 40.
- According to Document No. 12 (2020) and Document No. 83 (2009) issued by the Ministry of Education of China, applicants who have foreign nationality and are non-Chinese citizens, as well as those whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens residing abroad, must meet the following additional requirements when applying for undergraduate programs as international students:
- - Possess a valid foreign passport or Certificate of Nationality for at least 4 years.
- - Have a record of actual residence in foreign countries for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (up to April 30th in the first year of study).
- - Living in foreign countries outside of China for 9 months or more within one year can be considered as one year, based on entry-exit records and passport stamps.
- Applicants who were citizens of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan and who migrated to foreign countries to obtain foreign nationality must also meet the same requirements.
