- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens meeting Ministry of Education Letter No. 12 [2020], physically and mentally healthy, friendly to China and with no criminal record. A bachelor's degree is required. Chinese-taught majors require HSK 5 (180 points or above); applicants whose highest education was taught in Chinese are exempt with proof of the language of instruction, and those below the required level can first take the Preparatory (Chinese Language) Program. English-taught majors require IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, Duolingo 90, CEFR B2 or equivalent unless English is your native language or your highest education was taught in English. All applicants attend an online interview, and some programmes may set an entrance exam.
