Admission Requirements
  • You must be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport and an education equivalent to a Chinese bachelor's degree or above. Chinese-taught programmes require a valid HSK certificate: humanities and economics majors need HSK 5 with 210 or above or HSK 6 with 180 or above; science and art majors need HSK 5 with 180 or above. Applicants who completed a bachelor's or master's degree taught in Chinese at a Chinese university may be exempted from HSK with an official certificate from that university, subject to XISU approval. Shortlisted applicants take an interview or written test; the master's programme lasts 2–3 years.
