About
Northeast Petroleum University is a public university in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province, in the heart of China's largest oilfield region. Founded in 1960 as the Northeast Petroleum Institute, it was renamed Daqing Petroleum Institute in 1975 and adopted its current name in 2010; in 1978 it was designated one of the eighty-eight national essential universities. On-Campus Housing Options
International students live in university dormitories on the Daqing campus. Rooms have an indoor toilet, with shared kitchen and laundry facilities on the floor. Published rates are CNY 30 per day for a single room and CNY 15 per day for a place in a double room.
