Xiamen University is a comprehensive public research university on the coast of Fujian province in southeastern China. It was founded in 1921 by Tan Kah Kee and was the first university in modern Chinese history established by an overseas Chinese benefactor. On-Campus Housing Options
On-campus housing for international students costs roughly CNY 35-65 per person per day on the Siming campus, CNY 1,600-4,000 per year on the Xiang'an campus and CNY 1,100-1,200 per year on the Zhangzhou campus. Dormitory rooms are furnished with a bed and desk and include air conditioning, a water heater, a bathroom and internet access. Students who prefer to live off campus can expect to pay around CNY 2,500 per month for a rental near the Siming campus.
