(Nine (9) months of actual residence in a foreign country can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit seal stamps).
- If a Chinese citizen after emigrating abroad applies to come to China as a foreign student for undergraduate study, then they shall hold a valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality for more than 4 years, and a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (as of April 30, 2025). (Nine (9) months of actual residence in a foreign country can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit seal stamps).
