The Master in Civil & Hydraulic Engineering at Zhejiang University of Technology offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Official and complete academic transcripts covering all years of study from the applicant’s preceding degree program, submitted in original form together with an official translation (English or Chinese, if applicable). The transcripts must clearly list all courses taken and grades received and be issued by the awarding institution.
Applicants must submit the official certificate(s) of their highest completed degree. Graduating students who have not yet received their final diploma are required to provide a pre-graduation certificate or an official student status certificate issued by their current university. Such applicants must submit the original or notarized copy of the final degree certificate(s) no later than the time of registration.
Proof of Chinese or English language proficiency, depending on the language of instruction of the program. Accepted certificates include: Chinese (HSK) IELTS TOEFL Duolingo PTE Certificates must be officially recognized and valid at the time of application.
Supervisor Acceptance Letter
An official acceptance or preliminary supervision letter issued by a potential academic supervisor. It is strongly recommended to obtain this letter.
Foreigner Physical Examination Form
The Foreigner Physical Examination Form must be completed by a licensed physician at an authorized hospital. The form must be fully filled in and include the attending doctor’s signature, the official hospital stamp, and a passport-sized photo of the applicant stamped by the hospital. Incomplete forms, or forms missing any of these elements, will be considered invalid. Please note that the medical examination results are valid for 6 months only, so applicants should ensure the examination is conducted within the required time frame.
Renting accommodation outside the campus is allowed. Students may choose off-campus housing in accordance with university regulations.
Applicants are required to submit a self-introduction video in which they briefly introduce themselves, describe their academic background, study or research interests, reasons for applying, and future academic goals. The video should be clear, well-organized, and recorded in a quiet environment with good audio and video quality. It should be presented in English or Chinese in accordance with the language requirements of the applied program and will be used as part of the overall evaluation of the applicant’s suitability and motivation for the program.
Applicants must be between 20 and 35 years old at the time of application.
Applicants who have studied in China before must provide study certificates and academic transcripts from the relevant institutions.

Passport and Chinese Visa Page
Applicants must submit a scanned copy of a valid passport (photo/information page). Applicants who have previously studied in China or are currently residing in China must additionally provide a scanned copy of the Chinese visa page or residence permit page. These documents are used for identity verification and immigration status review.
Non-Criminal Record Certificate
An official Non-Criminal Record Certificate issued by the local police authority, confirming that the applicant has no criminal history. This document is mandatory for admission and residence procedures.
Recommendation Letters
Two letters of recommendation written in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors from the applicant’s current or previous university. The letters should evaluate the applicant’s academic ability and potential.
Application Form with ID Photo
The official application form must be completed and submitted together with a recent ID photo of the applicant for identification purposes.
