Language Score
This program focuses on clean combustion technologies and the utilization of new energy sources, preparing students to tackle global energy challenges. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, students will contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions.
Official and complete academic transcripts covering all years of study from the applicant’s preceding degree program, submitted in original form together with an official translation (English or Chinese, if applicable). The transcripts must clearly list all courses taken and grades received and be issued by the awarding institution.
The official certificate of the highest academic degree completed by the applicant. This document must be issued by the awarding institution and clearly indicate the degree obtained and the date of graduation.
Applicants applying for English-taught programs, except native English speakers, must provide proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo (TOEFL ITP scores are not accepted) or proof of completion of a previous English-taught program. Applicants applying for Chinese-taught programs must provide an HSK Level 4 or above certificate or proof of completion of a previous Chinese-taught program. Minimum required scores: TOEFL ≥ 80 IELTS ≥ 6.0 Duolingo ≥ 100
Application Form
Applicants must complete and submit the official application form accurately and truthfully. All personal, academic, and contact information provided must be consistent with the supporting documents uploaded.
Recommendation Letters
Two letters of recommendation written by full professors or associate professors in the relevant academic field. Each letter must include the professor’s signature, contact phone number, and email address.
Foreigner Physical Examination Form
A completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form issued by an authorized medical institution. Please note that the form will be considered invalid if it is incomplete or missing: The attending physician’s signature The hospital’s official stamp The applicant’s photo or official seal The physical examination results are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue.
Proof of financial capability, which may include: Family bank deposit certificate Property ownership certificate Parent or guardian income certificate The recommended minimum amount is USD 5,000 or equivalent. An English version of the bank statement must be provided.
Required for all applicants except MBA applicants, for whom it is not required.
Applicants must be under 30 years old.
Four (4) one-inch, front-facing, crown-free and background-free color photographs, meeting official identification photo standards.
An interview may be required depending on the supervisor’s decision.
Renting accommodation outside the campus is allowed. Students may choose off-campus housing in accordance with university regulations.
Jiangsu University offers on-campus dormitory accommodation for international students, mainly in double rooms, with fees charged per bed. Accommodation costs vary depending on the dormitory area and type of stay. Annual accommodation fees range from approximately CNY 4,500 to CNY 4,900 per bed per year, which is equivalent to about CNY 375–490 per month depending on the length of stay. Alternatively, accommodation may be charged on a daily basis at CNY 30 per bed per day, subject to availability. The university-managed dormitories provide a safe, convenient, and affordable living environment within the campus, allowing students easy access to academic buildings and student facilities.

Double Room (North Area) The double room in the North area is a shared accommodation option designed for two students. Each student is charged separately per bed. The accommodation fee is CNY 4,500 per bed per year, which corresponds to approximately CNY 450 per month (based on a 10-month academic year) or around CNY 375 per month (based on a 12-month stay).

Double Room (South Area) The double room in the South area offers similar shared accommodation for two students but is located in a different part of the campus. Fees are slightly higher due to dormitory conditions and location. The accommodation fee is CNY 4,900 per bed per year, which is approximately CNY 490 per month (10 months) or around CNY 405–410 per month (12 months).

Research Proposal
A research proposal of at least 800 words, including details of the applicant’s: Educational background Work experience Academic achievements Research plans Personal development goals Ph.D. applicants must additionally submit a detailed academic research plan.
List and Abstracts of Published Academic Papers
A list and abstracts of published academic papers, if applicable.
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A CV including a chronological list of educational experiences starting from the undergraduate level. Applicants with prior study experience in China must include all Chinese study experiences.
Non-Criminal Record Certificate
An official Non-Criminal Record Certificate issued by the local police authority, confirming that the applicant has no criminal history. This document is mandatory for admission and residence procedures.
Passport
A clear scanned copy of the passport homepage showing the applicant’s personal information, passport number, nationality, date of birth, and validity period. The passport must be valid and clearly legible, as it will be used for identity verification and admission procedures.
Two recommendation letters
Two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors.
