- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding foreign ordinary passports.
- Chinese Language Requirements: Applicants must have an HSK4 certificate with an overall score of 180 or above.
- If either parent of the applicant is a Chinese citizen residing in a foreign country, and the applicant holds foreign nationality from birth (without Chinese nationality), they must have held a valid foreign passport or foreign nationality certificate for at least 4 years. Additionally, they must have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (as of April 30 of the enrollment year). Actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps.
- Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who have immigrated and acquired foreign nationality must also meet the above requirements when applying for undergraduate studies at BLCU as international students.
