International students are housed in university dormitories managed by the School of International Education, which also sells dormitory laundry cards (100 RMB for 25 washes or 50 RMB for 10, including a 15 RMB deposit). Students who prefer to live off campus commonly rent apartments in the surrounding Shahekou district; the university advises that flats of 50 to 150 square metres near campus typically cost between 1,500 and 4,000 RMB per month.
