The Master in Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers an in-depth exploration of the fundamental principles and philosophies that underpin TCM practices. This program is designed for students seeking to deepen their understanding of TCM and its applications in modern healthcare.
Applicants must submit the official certificate(s) of their highest completed degree. Graduating students who have not yet received their final diploma are required to provide a pre-graduation certificate or an official student status certificate issued by their current university. Such applicants must submit the original or notarized copy of the final degree certificate(s) no later than the time of registration.
Recognized bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Official and complete academic transcripts covering all years of study from the applicant’s preceding degree program, submitted in original form together with an official translation (English or Chinese, if applicable). The transcripts must clearly list all courses taken and grades received and be issued by the awarding institution.
For English-taught Majors: Applicants whose native language is English are exempt from providing English language proficiency certificates. Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English language proficiency with the results of IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (80 points or above), MyBest Scores (80 points or above), Essentials test (8 points or above), or other equivalent English language proficiency certificates. Applicants whose native language is not English but have received their highest level of education taught in English are exempt from providing IELTS/TOEFL certificates and other proof of English proficiency, but must submit proof of the language of instruction.
Application Form
Applicants must complete and submit the official application form accurately and truthfully. All personal, academic, and contact information provided must be consistent with the supporting documents uploaded.
Recommendation Letters
Two letters of recommendation written by full professors or associate professors in the relevant academic field. Each letter must include the professor’s signature, contact phone number, and email address.
Foreigner Physical Examination Form
A completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form issued by an authorized medical institution. Please note that the form will be considered invalid if it is incomplete or missing: The attending physician’s signature The hospital’s official stamp The applicant’s photo or official seal The physical examination results are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue.
Applicants must be under 30 years old.
An interview may be required depending on the supervisor’s decision.
Renting accommodation outside the university campus is not allowed. Students are required to live in university-designated or on-campus housing, and off-campus rental arrangements are not permitted under university regulations.

Non-Criminal Record Certificate
An official Non-Criminal Record Certificate issued by the local police authority, confirming that the applicant has no criminal history. This document is mandatory for admission and residence procedures.
Study Plan / Research Proposal
Applicants are required to submit a Study Plan or Research Proposal, written in Chinese or English. For Master’s programs: minimum 1,500 words For Doctoral programs: minimum 2,500 words The study plan should clearly describe the applicant’s academic background, research interests, research objectives, methodology, and the academic significance of the proposed study.
Passport
A clear scanned copy of the passport homepage showing the applicant’s personal information, passport number, nationality, date of birth, and validity period. The passport must be valid and clearly legible, as it will be used for identity verification and admission procedures.
