  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged 18-45 and in good health, and must have completed senior high school or receive the diploma by the summer before matriculation in September. The China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) is mandatory: every applicant sits the Math test (in Chinese or English), and applicants to Chinese-taught majors other than Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages must also take the Humanities Chinese test. Chinese-taught majors require HSK 5 at the time of application (HSK 4 for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages; HSK 4 with at least 180 for Sinology and China Studies). English-taught majors require native English or IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80 or Duolingo 100. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed before the admission decision.
