- Master's students: under the age of 35, with a degree comparable to the Bachelor's Degree in Chinese universities, non-Chinese citizen with a foreign passport.
- If both parents or one of the parents of the applicant are Chinese citizens and reside in a foreign country, the applicant should have foreign nationality at birth and hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years.
- In addition, a record of more than 2 years of actual residence in a foreign country in the last 4 years (by April 30, 2022) is also needed.

- Applicants receiving the last degree with the instruction in Chinese are exempt from submitting the Chinese proficiency certificates, but the certificate of Chinese medium issued by the school graduated from shall be provided.
